Bulfe
Bulfe fell. The mountain split its maw and belched smoke into the sky, buried the town in one night, and yet...
The ash shifts. Green and violet shoots burst through the destruction, flowers blooming, small animals returning. The mountain is spent, the river has once more begun to flow, and the air has begun to clear for the first time since the volcano's eruption.
As for the vast flow of lava? It has cooled, in all but one spot. A strange sulfuric pool has gathered at the base of the volcano, and crimson slimes have been spotted lingering near it. The ground chars where they move, but still, the land is healing.
The Guild was unable to step in in time to save the city of Bulfe, but perhaps some change comes regardless of the well-meaning. Perhaps they would never have been able to stop it, even if they had come.
Demorrah knows no other way than to grow over its own wounds.
The Fertile Ash (Generations Ago)
Bulfe was founded on volcanic terrain, with agriculture built on nutrient-rich ash. Initial settlers relied on seasonal stability and high soil yield. Volcanic activity remained low for several generations. Community culture emphasized resilience and land stewardship.A Time of Plenty (Until Recently)
Bulfe developed into a key agricultural provider for central Demorrah. Trade routes stabilized. Population growth remained steady. The volcano was monitored, but showed no signs of escalation. The Mountain Stirs
Increased seismic shifts and air quality fluctuations reported over a six-month period. Local response divided between scientific monitoring and ritual appeasement attempts. While the Guild was notified, no guild member was able to respond. The Ashen Refusal (Aftermath of the Dark Flame)
Mount Velharra erupted. No Guild operatives were present at time of eruption. Civilian casualties estimated at 80–90%. Remaining infrastructure lost to lava, ash, and structural collapse.
Confirmed behavioral patterns during final hours:
Some attempted evacuation and perished en route
Others remained for religious or cultural reasons
No coordinated defense or containment effort established
Current Status (Observation Ongoing)
Ground heat and residual lava glow persist at 1–2 sites
Regrowth observed: early flora emergence, limited fauna activity
Guild has not rescinded “Lost” status designation
Local stories persist, particularly regarding shrine districts and unconfirmed sightings
Advisory for Guild Members:
Do not assign quests to this region without written approval. Site is unstable and symbolically charged among former residents.
Guild responsibility in this matter remains under quiet scrutiny; no official statements to be made unless prompted by Rank-3 authority or higher.
